Affiliates and Recommended Sites

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Places to avoid, too. And also how to become an affiliate!

With all that's going on in the news recently about the lack of journalistic integrity in gaming journalism (and journalism in general), KoopaTV wants to stand apart from that crowd. While we're not a news site (we're a commentary blog) we do need to get our news from places so we know what to comment on. The news must be reliable.

At the same time, we acknowledge there are other sites out there who also stand for things like truth, and may be good reads in general. Since we want to attract educated clientele (or attract lesser-so people and then transform them into such) we want to share as many good sources as we can! So KoopaTV is holding an affiliate program

About Affiliates

What does it mean to be an affiliate of KoopaTV? A member of our staff will read whatever your content is whenever you have (new) content, and if it's relevant we'll use it as reference material the same way we use our own articles. In return, you also feature KoopaTV on your site. Preferably representing us with this cool banner in a prominent location on the site while linking to our home page. Basically, we direct people to one another. If you're interested, drop a comment here. We're looking for sites that have quality content that update at least semi-frequently and look like they won't drop off the planet anytime soon.

E-mail us at affiliates(at)koopatv.org if you're interested.

Affiliates List:

  1. Jareditton the YouTuber
    • Entertaining YouTube channel covering videogames. Is a big fan of KoopaTV and has covered some of our stuff on his channel!
  2. samanthalienhard.com
    • Author and KoopaTV supporter. Writes about video games and her fiction.

If you want to use our buttons below, well, we included their codes to make things really easy for you. (We prefer you save as the images though and upload them yourself instead of hot-linking.) Affiliates are subject to KoopaTV's logo policy.

If you want to know more about why a certain website is on a list or why it's in a certain position on the list, feel free to comment here with your inquiry. KoopaTV doesn't periodically review sources once they're put on the list.

Also, first party sources are not included. Primary sources should be your first source of information. That includes company PR. Wikipedia is also a viable source.

KoopaTV articles are nicer to read if you're already informed of what's going on. We can't reference some political event and have that have its intended effect if you're not informed! Being informed also brings benefits like helping you be an educated voter and citizen.

Ludwig wrote a guide on what to keep in mind when judging a news story or source.
There is a whole ADDITIONAL list of sources you may consider bad here, because they heavily promoted an unsubstantiated rumour that was not true about the gaming industry.
